- Our Story -

Meet Brovelly Founder

Hi! I'm Lisa and welcome to Brovelly. We hope you love our products as much as we love making them. The Brovelly name is a mix of our hometowns as youths living and loving Bronte and Clovelly - hence, Brovelly.

I have always loved bright colours, particularly when creating and making new things. In my 20s I spent time making and successfully selling jewellery. I have also tinkered with ceramics, pottery and painting. This love of hand making concrete pots and handpainting pots developed from a shear lack of being able to find a pot that suited my bright vibrant taste, back in 2018. That lead me to creating and designing my own!

Initially I really wanted to create large concrete pots, however they became too heavy. I sourced lightweight Terracotta pots to handpaint and I decided to handmake smaller concrete pots for succulents.

I even propagate my own succulent plants and lovingly grow them in my yard to make sure they look great and are easy to grow. I also love growing ferns, cacti, strilizias and fiddle leaf.

So there you have the beginnings of all things Brovelly.

I have no doubt there will be more! I'm always coming up with new ideas, creations and styles.

Our latest candle collection

I've played with the idea of making candles for my concrete pots, and during Covid Lockdown that became a reality and very popular.

I decided to make concrete candles and most recently have added glass candles to my collection.

With each candle our customers are able to choose from one of six unique fragrances:

'Bronte' - Driftwood Salt Lemongrass wt dash of Eucalyptus
'Tamma' - English Freesia, French Pear with a touch of Lemon Myrtle
'Mackenzies' - Gardenia, Lemongrass Ginger wt dash of Eucalytpus
'Gordons Bay' - Sweet Patchouli, Coconut Lime wt dash of Eucalyptus
'Cloey' - Nectarine Mint, Lemon Myrtle wt hint of French Pear
'The Bommie' - Citronella Nectarine Mint with dash of Eucalytpus (available ONLY for our large oncrete candles)

We have have also put the different Candle Vessel types in group Collections. The Collections are Phoenix, Amelia, Tex, Taro & Grover, Jhoumbi Collections and coming soon some new products..
